House of IS-affiliated militant razed in Bara
LANDI KOTAL: Members of the Sipah tribe of Bara demolished the house of a suspected militant allegedly affiliated with the Islamic State (Daesh) group in Afghanistan. Local sources said elders of Sipah tribe ordered the demolition of the house of Lal Mar Jan in Ghaibi Khel-Peero Khel area for his alleged links with IS. Dawn
DERA ISMAIL KHAN: Unknown armed men on Sunday gunned down an employee of the Wild Life Department in front of his house in Dera Ismail Khan. According to police, shooting took place in Maryali village of Dera Ismail Khan. Police officials said that unknown armed men knocked Nuzhar Hussain Shairazi’ house door, when he opened door to see who is calling, the armed men opened indiscriminate firing on him. Decades-long ban on construction of houses in Salarzai lifted
KHAR: The political authorities lifted the decades-long unofficial ban on construction of new houses in Bajaur Agency`s Salarzai tehsil. The development came following talks between the senior officials of the administration and a delegation comprising elders and landlords of Salarzai. Speaking on the occasion, assistant political agent Arif Khan Yousafazi said the ban was illegal and clear violation of basic rights of the local residents. Dawn
South Waziristan Residents Reject Survey Of Destroyed Houses Under Current Tehsildar
WANA: Residents of Sararogha area of South Waziristan Agency refused to accept survey of their destroyed houses under the supervision of the incumbent political tehsildar. A grant jirga of elders of 14 villages of Sararogha tehsil was held in which they leveled serious allegations against Tehsilar Faiz Muhammad. They alleged that Faiz Muhammad ignoring their million rupees damages in survey. They said that they will not conduct any survey in his supervision. They asked the political administration to transfer him and appoint another tehsildar to conduct free and fair survey. Radio TNN
