`IS flag` near Islamabad alarms law enforcers
ISLAMABAD: Law enforcement agencies swung into action on Sunday after a flag, supposedly belonging to the self-styled militant Islamic State (IS) group, was discovered on the outskirts of the capital. Militant planning to target Muharram procession in Peshawar arrested
PESHAWAR: Police claimed to have arrested a militant, who was trying to transport explosives to the interior parts of Peshawar city for act of terrorism during Muharram. Levies Force Gets Powers Of Police In Torkham
PESHAWAR: The federal government has brought changes in the FIA Act for Torkham area of Khyber Agnecy under which the Levies Force will get the powers of Police. According to a statutory regulatory order (SRO) issued from the Ministry of States and Frontier Regions (SAFRON), these changes have been made in the FIA Act specifically for Torkham Gate, Bacha Mena, Shamshad Ghar and other areas situated near the Pak-Afghan border. Under the order, Levies will get powers of Police, Naib Tehsildar of Torkham will get powers of Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Sub-Inspector, Assistant Political Agent Landikotal will get powers of Sessions Judge and Political Agent will get powers of Magistrate.
