No clue to kidnapped Afghan deputy governor
Peshawar: Sources said that search was on for the recovery of the Afghan official who reportedly went missing from Dabgari Garden. His brother Habibullah later told the police that people in a luxury car picked up Mohammad Nabi. According to the media reports, a spokesman for the office of governor in Kunar has confirmed the missing of its deputy governor somewhere in Peshawar. The reports said the deputy governor had applied for medical leave. Reports said the Afghan authorities have contacted Pakistani counterparts for ensuring safe recovery of Mohammad Nabi.
Three Levies Men On Polio Duty Injured In Bajaur Blast
Khar: Three Levies personnel were injured in a bomb blast in Khar tehsil of Bajaur Agency. Deputed on security duty of polio immunisation teams, the levies officials were travelling through dry bed of a river in Lara Banda area when an improvised explosive device detonated. The injured Levies men were taken to Agency Headquarters Hospital Khar. The security forces cordoned off the area after the incident and launched search operation. However, no arrest was reported. FATA Youth Jirga Announces To Accelerate Efforts For Reforms Implementation
Peshawar: A Youth Jirga of FATA on Monday announced to further accelerate movement for implementation of reforms in the tribal areas. Shah jehan Afridi, FATA Youth Jirga member and president of Jamaat-e-Islami FATA youth wing, told media that a Jirga member was scheduled to meet the National Assembly Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq to discuss implementation of reforms. He said the Jirga member will urge the speaker to accelerate the process of reforms implementation.
