FATA Research Centre (FRC) Islamabad is going to launch its research study, “Impacts of War on Terror on Pashto Literature and Art”atIslamabad HotelG-6, Melody Islamabadon Tuesday dated 25th March 2014. The scheduled timing for the event is 2:00 to 05:00 PM sharply.
Guest speakers including Mr. Muhammad Atif, Minister for Education Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, AfrasiabKhattak, Senator (ANP), Professor Muhammad Hanif Khalil, NIPS (QAU) and Mr. SaleemRaaz, Secretary General (PWA) Pakistan will address the event.
The tragic incident of 9/11 that shook the very foundation of the world, no doubt, altered trends and priorities across the globe. Pakistani society is not an exception. Cultural values that used to define tolerance, cooperation, sacrifice and brotherhood as their leading principles now stands for violence and extremism. The study has looked into different aspects the War on Terror has affected Pashto literature and Pashtun society and devised a way forward for its remedy.
