Another Taliban Group Fell Prey to Internal Disorder
Mufti Sadaq Noor is the head of Sadaq Noor group which is presently active in Mir Ali, Razmak and Miranshah areas of North Waziristan Agency. Some media reports suggest that Sadaq Noor has established close contacts with the Afghan Taliban and Arabs of Al-Qaeda in North Waziristan Agency. Moreover, he is in alliance with Hafiz Gull Bahadur, who is the head of Taliban in North Waziristan Agency. These credentials make him a noteworthy Taliban commander of the area.
Here I would like to introduce Sadiqullah Haider Khel alias Aryana in Sadaq Noor group. He was one of the top lieutenants of Sadiq Noor in North Waziristan. In the past he stood with him through every thick and thick but on 12th April Saqad Noor distributed a pamphlet announcing his expulsion from the group. As this was not enough, Aryana’s fourteen other colleagues were also shown the exit door. For the local people of the area this was a difficult move to understand because according to them Sadiqullah alias Aryana was considered the deputy of Sadaq Noor. In the absence of Sadiq Noor, he used to run all the affairs of the group. Not only this but he used to hold meeting with the local tribesmen and other Taliban groups on the behalf of his leader, Sadaq Noor. More astonishing are the stories that many a times Aryana led Sadaq Noor group during the across the border attacks on the American and NATO forces inside Afghanistan.
However side by side Sadiqullah alias Aryana was also head of his own group in Miranshah headquarter of North Waziristan Agency. He is said to have more than one hundred fifty men in his league. Sadiqullah is also said to have good knowledge of computers. Nevertheless, these feathers in his cap could not save him from expulsion from the group.
Quoting from the pamphlet Sadaq Noor says that Aryana and his men have been expelled from the group because they were going rebellious with every passing day. They were involved in criminal activities also. He openly announced that from now onward Sadaq Noor group is not responsible for the actions of Aryana and his men. He appealed to the local people in Mir Ali and Miranshah that if they have any proof against Aryana and his men that they are involved in illegal activities then they should come forward and present the proof to Sadaq Noor so that appropriate .
action could be taken against Aryana and his men.

On the very next day after the circulation of pamphlets by Sadaq Noor in Miranshah and Mir Ali, the accused Sadiqullah alias Aryan had a different story tell which he communicated to the local tribesmen via pamphlets. This leaflet informed that he and his men have not been expelled from Sadaq Noor group because of their rebellious attitude or involvement in criminal activities. He described reason of his expulsion as personal grudges with Mufti Sadaq Noor. He further said that the pamphlet has been circulated in the area on behalf Sadaq Noor group and not on behalf of the Shoora of North Waziristan Taliban headed by Hafiz Gull Bahadur. He has also said that it is not only fifteen of them who have been separated from Sadaq Noor group but hundreds of Mujahids have parted ways with Sadaq Noor to form another faction with him.
Sadiqullah has also announced that if anyone wants go into the detail of the matter they should contact him or Hafiz Gull Bahadur. He has also made an appeal to the Shoora of North Waziristan Taliban that they should convince Mufti Sadaq Noor to sit with them and solve their disputes according to the Islamic Sharia Law.
This blame game via pamphlets speaks aloud of the differences within the Taliban leadership in North Waziristan Agency. If this trend continues, further cracks in the Taliban’s command and control mechanism are in the offing. These differences between local Taliban groups in North Waziristan Agency would increase the power of TTP which may embolden them and to target Pakistani security forces or government installation in North Waziristan Agency. This will force Pakistan Army to launch a military operation against the local Taliban militants and their foreign guests in North Waziristan Agency.
