Terrorist Arrested During Search Operation
Malakand: Security forces have arrested proclaimed terrorist Khairullah alias Khainu during an operation in Malakand. According to details, Special Unit conducted a raid in Barkat Market and took the suspect into custody. Attacker Killed, Policeman Injured in Gun Attack on Census Team
Charsadda: A police official sustained injuries when unknown armed men opened indiscriminate fire on a population and household census team in Sehray Harichand area of Charsadda. 66pc Fall in Violent Incidents in Pakistan – CRSS Report
Islamabad: Violence related incidents declined in 2016 as compared to the year before, and casualties from violence were half the number of casualties in 2015, the Centre for Research and Security Studies (CRSS) annual security report revealed. Search Operation in Kasur
Kasur: Police and other law-enforcement agencies claimed to have arrested 33 suspects, 17 of them belonging to Bajaur Agency, during an operation as part of the National Action Plan. According to District Police Officer Ali Nasir Rizvi, a search operation was conducted in Railway Road, Adda Lalyani, Karishna Nagar, Rara Gujran, Kot Radha Kishan, Kanganpur and Phoolnagar areas. Militancy-hit Schools Rebuilt in Malakand
Malakand: The Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) has claimed that the most of schools destroyed during militancy in Malakand division have been reconstructed. Taimur Ali, media coordinator of PDMA-PaRRSA, told that around 182 schools were targeted in Malakand division by extremists between 2008 and 2011, out of which 179 schools had been reconstructed.
