KHAR, June 22, 2015: As many as 37 students were awared with laptops at a laptop distribution ceremony held at khar, Bajur Agency here on Monday, who showed outstanding performance during the secondary school certificate examinations, FRC learnt.
The ceremony being chaired by Mr. Hamid ulla Jan (Directorate Education, FATA) was attended by Agency Education Officer Bajaur, teachers, parents of students and other notables of the area.
While speaking at the function, Directorate of Education FATA, Mr. Hamidullah Jan said that education is vital for it promotes peace, stability, tolerance and development in the marginalized and militancy stricken area-FATA.
“Improving the state of education is pre-requiste to achieve peace and stability in the area” said Hamid Ullah Jan
While addressing on the ocassion, Mr Hamidullah said that Directorate of Education Fata on the special directives of federal government and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa governor had accelerated efforts to increase literacy rate and improve standard of education in the tribal region.
“The government authorities are taking serious and tangible measures to ensure access and quality of education to the marginalized masses of FATA” said Hamid ullah Jan
Speaking at a ceremony, Agency Education Officer reiterated the importance education in achieving sustainable peace in FATA.
“Promotion of quality education is a must for the stability, prosperity and sustainable development of the region”said Agency Education Officer
On the occasion, Mr. Hamidullah Jan distributed laptops among 37 students from various educational institutions for outstanding performance in SSC (Secondary School Certificate) examination.
