Martyred police officer laid to rest
PESHAWAR: Funeral prayers of the district police officer of Qilla Abdullah Sajid Khan Mohmand were offered at the Malik Saad Shaheed police in Peshwar District. DPO Sajid was killed in a suicide attack targeting his vehicle in the border town of Chaman. His body was brought to Peshawar in a cavalcade. Dawn, The News
Large cache of weapons seized in Kohat
KOHAT: Security forces arrested two alleged terrorists and seized a truck laden with huge quantity of weapons bound for South Waziristan near Kohat tunnel. The illegal consignment being smuggled from gun manufacturing tribal town of Darra Adamkhel was placed on the frame of the truck and then its body was placed on that. The seizure included small machine guns (SMGs), shotguns and ammunition which were being transported from the Frontier Region of Kohat to Wana, the headquarters of South Waziristan Agency, in a civilian truck for terrorIsm purpose. Security Forces Recovered Destructive Weapons; Search Operation Bajaur Agency
Bajaur Agency: Security forces claimed to have foiled a sabotage attempt by recovering several remote-controlled bombs and mortar shells from different areas of Mamond tehsil. Six mortar shells were recovered from Gat Agra while three remote-controlled bombs were recovered from Kit Koot area during a search operation conducted jointly by the Bajaur Levies and FC. Khyber Agency: The Sarhad Rural Support Programme (SRSP) has given Rs13 million to 15 government schools located in remote areas of Bara tehsil of Khyber Agency for the provision of basic facilities in these institutions.
