Baghlan: Member of Provincial Council Killed in Terrorist Attack
On 09 February 2017, unknown gunmen killed a provincial council member along with his three security guards in Hussainkhel area of Pul-i-Khumri district of northern Baghlan province.[1]
Urzugan: 11 Taliban Insurgents Killed in Military Operation
On 09 February 2017, at least eleven Taliban insurgents were killed while 10 others were injured during a ground operation in Trinkot District of Urzugan province in Afghanistan. [2]
Nangarhar: US Drone Killed IS-K Militants
On 09 February 2017, nine militants belonging to Islamic State of Khorasan (IS-K) were killed in Nari Oba area of Haska district, while two senior commanders of the same group were killed in Pekhar Khor area of Achin district in Nangarhar province of Afghanistan in two separate US drone attacks. Nangarhar: ANP Killed two Taliban Insurgents
On 09 February 2017, at least two insurgents belonging to Afghan Taliban were killed during a ground operation conducted by Afghan National Police (ANP) force in Lalpur district of Nangarhar province of Afghanistan. [4]
