Six Killed, Four al-Qaida Members Held in Nangarhar Raid
Jalalabad: At least six terrorists of Al-Qaida were killed while two others wounded and four Al-Qaeda members, including the group’s financial affairs in charge, arrested in security forces raid in the GhaniKhel district of eastern Nangarhar province. Pakistan Rejects Claims of Safe Havens
Kabul: Pakistan on Friday rejected claims regarding presence of terrorist safe havens in its Federally Administered Tribal Areas (fata) and reiterated that Islamabad did not allow its territory to be used for attacks against any other country, a statement from the Pakistan embassy in Kabul said. “Pakistan contribution to the international community’s fight against terrorism and the sacrifices it rendered have been acknowledged by the world, including the US, European Union (EU) and other countries by their leadership at various level,” the statement said. Injured Kandahar Governor in India for Treatment
Kandahar: The governor of southern Kandahar province Dr. Humayun Azizi, who suffered injuries in Tuesday’s bomb attack, has been flown to India for better treatment, an official said on Friday.
