Nangarhar: Daesh rebels again set on fire 20 homes of local people in the Kot district of eastern Nangarhar province, an official said on Monday. Haji Syed Rahman, the district’s administrative head, told that Daesh rebels also known as Islamic State (IS) burnt 20 more homes of civilians in Khorkai locality of the district on Sunday. NPC Approves 13 Contracts
Kabul: The National Procurement Commission (NPC) has approved 13 contracts worth 13 billion Afghanis, the Presidential Palace said in a statement on Monday. The statement said President Ashraf Ghani chaired the NPC meeting on Sunday night and approved the contracts. The contracts included the extension of five power transmission lines from Ghazni province to Kandahar province.
