Nuristan: Public representatives and tribal elders in eastern Nuristan province have expressed concern over a deteriorating security situation in the province that they feared could fall to the rebels if the numbers of security personnel were not increased. They told that militants had blocked roads in districts connecting them with Paroon, Nuristan’s capital. Kabul: The Attorney General Officer (AGO) has issued arrest warrant for nine bodyguards of Voice President (VP) Gen. Abdul Rashid Dostum and asked the former warlord to appear for investigations in connection to Ahmad Eshchi’s kidnapping and sexual assault charges, an official said on Tuesday. Kabul: The Ministry of Defense (MoD) on Tuesday said the Afghan security forces had much improved and were free of ghost soldiers. MoD spokesman, Maj. Gen. Dawlat Waziri, told reporters in Kabul that militants carried out more than 18,500 attacks during the past 10 months.
