Kabul: At least one civilian was killed and one police officer wounded during a clash between police and unknown armed men in Kabul. Suicide Attack in Nangarhar Hajj and Religious Affairs Chief’s House: Kills his Brother
Nangarhar: A suicide attack took place inside the provincial Hajj and Religious Affairs Chief’s house, Mawlavi Abdul Zahir Haqqani, in eastern Nangarhar province of Afghanistan. According to the local security officials, the incident took place after a suicide bomber detonated his explosives inside his house. The provincial police commandment confirmed that Mawlavi Haqqani’s brother Shahwali was killed in the attack and that no one else was killed or wounded. Current Challenges Due to Poor Management: Massoud
According to a former Jihadi leader, Ahmad Zia Massoud, the President’s Special Representative on Reforms and Good Governance, the main reasons behind the current war and challenges facing the country were the lack of good political management and the lack of management capabilities. He further said, “We cannot win the current war by saying a few English words. Afghanistan, Pakistan Agree on Joint Anti-Terror Mechanism
Afghan and Pakistani officials at a meeting in London agreed to form a joint mechanism to fight the common threat of terrorism. Advisor to Pakistan’s Prime Minister on Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz said that his country wants to see a stable and peaceful Afghanistan and remains keen to resolve all the outstanding issues in the interest of regional peace and stability. According National Security Advisor Mohammad Hanif Atmar, Kabul considered Moscow a key regional ally and Russia should extend all cooperation to Afghanistan in its quest for peace and stability.
