Airstrike Kills 45 Taliban Insurgents in Helmand
Helmand: At least 45 Taliban insurgents were killed and 29 others were wounded in Afghan forces’ airstrikes in Helmand province. The strike was conducted in Bolan and Spina Kota areas close to Lashkargah city of Helmand province. Russia Urges Direct Peace Talks with Taliban
Russian President Vladimir Putin has expressed deep concerns over the continuing deterioration security in Afghanistan, suggesting that the Afghan government and the Taliban must engage in direct peace talks to end the ongoing turmoil.
