Student Lynched on Campus over Allegation of Blasphemy
Mardan: A mob comprising hundreds of university students lynched a fellow student on the campus of Abdul Wali Khan University over allegations of blasphemy. The deceased was identified as Mashal Khan, a sixth semester student of BS journalism program and a resident of Zaida area of Swabi district. The crowd also attacked two other students. Greater Iqbal Park Official was Shot
Lahore: Greater Iqbal Park project director was shot at and injured by two unidentified attackers near Sheeranwala gate. Police said Project Director Javaid Hamid was going to his office in the morning when two unidentified motorcyclists stopped him near Sheeranwala Gate and opened fire at him. The officer suffered two bullet wounds in his legs and was taken to the Services Hospital where he was said to be stable. Dawn
Eight Militants Killed and Dozens Arrested in Combing Operation
Dera Ghazi Khan: At least eight suspected militants, allegedly belonging to the Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), were killed in Dera Ghazi Khan in an operation by Rangers and police personnel, while 27 suspects were arrested from various districts in the last 48 hours.
A Ranger`s hawaladar was injured in a combing operation in Taunsa Sharif, Dera Ghazi Khan. Law enforcement agencies had seized a sizeable cache of weapons from the militants` hideout during a search operation in Basti Kaleery, Chak All Shah, in the Saddar police precinct of Taunsa Sharif, some 100km from Dera Ghazi Khan. Two Gunned Down in Chaghi
Chaghi: Two people were gunned down in the Mashkel area of Chaghi district. Levies officials said unidentified assailants sprayed Muhammad Azamand Javed with bullets. The two died on the spot. The cause of the killing was not ascertained immediately. Dawn

FATA should not be Merged into KP without Public Support: Abdul Kahar
According to Abdul Kahar, member of Pakhtunkhwa Milli Awami Party, the opinion of common people from conflict inflicted region, FATA, should be ascertained in order to know whether they want merger of FATA with KP or wanted to establish a separate province of their own. The displaced people belonging to Danday Darpakhel area of North Waziristan Agency have called upon the government to ensure their repatriation without further delay. For this purpose they held a meeting with Political Agent of North Waziristan Agency, Kamran Afridi.
