Khyber Agency: Six militants killed during security forces airstrikes bear Pak-Afghan border
At least six militants were killed and 10 of their hideouts were destroyed during security forces airstrikes near Pak-Afghan border in Khyber agency. According to security sources, the air raids were carried out in Rena area of Afghanistan, close to Pak-Afghan border. Security sources also claimed of killing 17 more militants of Omar Khalid Khorasani and other groups in the bombing. The security forces also claimed that 10 hideouts of the militants were also destroyed along with ammunition and weapons in the operation. Radio TNN
D.I.Khan: Three Militants Killed
The security forces have claimed killing three militants in a clash in Dera Ismail Khan. Security sources said that security forces signaled a vehicle to stop at Madi check post, but militants sitting in the vehicle opened fire on the soldiers. The soldiers killed three militants in the retaliatory firing. Sources said that, a militant, Maqbool alias Boli was also among the dead. Bajaur Agency: Two militants killed by Amn Lashkar
The security forces and volunteers of the pro-government Aman Lashkar killed two militants who were planting a bomb in Bajaur Agency. Official sources said the militants were planting a bomb on the road in Dangi Sar, Damadola in Mamond tehsil when the soldiers and volunteers of Aman Lashkar shot them dead. The sources said that bombs and explosive material was also recovered from the slain militants. Radio TNN
Buner: Two killed as blast hit JUI-F leader’s guest house
Two people were killed in a bomb blast at the guest house of a Union Council Naib Nazim in the neighbourhood of Totalai in Buner. According to the local police station muharer Mian Hussain Shah, the incident occurred in Kas Kuruno area of Totalai when a bomb exploded at the guest house of Union Council Naib Nazim Arshad Wali of Jamiat Ulama-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F). As a result of the explosion, the roof of all the four rooms of the guest house collapsed destroying the compound. Radio TNN
Kurram Agency: Six terrorists killed in security forces action
At least six terrorists were killed and four others injured in security forces action near Kurram agency on Pak-Afghan border. According to reports, at least eight hideouts of the militants were also destroyed in the action. The dead and injured militants belonged to TTP Mohmand group. Khyber News
Bajaur Agency: Lahore blast facilitator’s two brothers arrested
Security forces have arrested two brothers of Lahore blast facilitator from Bajaur agency. According to reports, the security forces carried out search operation in Mamond tehsil of Bajaur agency and arrested two brothers of the Lahore blast facilitator, Anwarul Haq. 387 Search Operations Carried Out in Four Days
Lahore: Inspector General of Punjab Police Mushtaq Sukhera said that 387 search operations and combing operations were conducted all over the province during the last four days. Chairing a video-link RPOs and DPOs conference at the Central Police Office here, he said during these operations 22,379 people were checked and cases were registered against 92 under the foreign act, tenant act, possession of illegal arms and narcotics. South Waziristan Agency: Political alliance demands industrial zone under CPEC in South Waziristan
All Political Parties Alliance of South Waziristan Agency staged a protest demonstration demanding establishment of an industrial zone under China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) in the tribal agency. As per details, dozens of local residents staged a protest demonstration; the protest was attended by representatives of business community, tribal elders, leaders of various political parties and religious scholars. Fata Grand Youth Alliance demands referendum on Fata-KP merger
The Fata Grand Youth Alliance demanded of the government to hold referendum on abolishment of FCR law and merger of tribal regions with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province. Addressing a press conference here at Peshawar Press Club, Jafar Adamkhel, head of the youth body, said that Fata Grand Youth Alliance was not in the support of the FCR or against the merger but they wanted to let the tribal people to decide their fate. Chitral: Seminar on Chitral`s role in CPEC next month
MNA Shahzada Iftikhar uddin has said that Chitral district has a great potential for hydropower generation which would be exploited to its optimum. He said that energy produced in the district would be enough to fulfill about half of the total demand of the country. Talking to the media persons on phone, he said that a seminar on `Chitral`s role in CPEC` would be held next month in Chitral to sensitise the stakeholders in the hydropower generation. Dawn
