North Waziristan Agency: According to a terse late-night statement issued by the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), terrorists had tried to regroup in Wucha Bibi, a border area in North Waziristan Agency. Fata farmers hurt by ban on transportation of urea fertiliser
Peshawar: Ban on urea fertiliser may not have affected the bomb-making terrorist organisations as much as it has hit the agriculture sector in tribal areas where farmers are forced to use low quality smuggled urea to increase their crop produce. `The urea (fertiliser) smuggled into tribal areas from the neighboring Afghanistan is of very bad quality and yet very expensive,` said Mumtaz Ali, who was forced to use a fertiliser being sold in Parachinar market at a high price. Youth alliance opposes merger of Fata with KP
Peshawar/Kohat: Fata Grand Youth Alliance (FGYA) has opposed merger of Federally Administered Tribal Area with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and asked the federal government to instead focus on rehabilitation of the displaced tribesmen. Speaking at a news conference at the Peshawar Press Club on Saturday, the alliance`s chief organiser Jaffar Adamkhel lamented that the government was least bothered to take practical steps for early rehabilitation of the internally displaced persons, reconstruction of infrastructure and provision of basic facilities to the affected people.
