Mortar Shells Recovered in Islamabad
Islamabad: Three mortar shells were recovered from Rawal Dam on Saturday, the police have said. They said passersby spotted the shells while strolling down the bank of the Rawal Dam, on the Murree Road side. They informed the police, who arrived at the location with members of the Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS). They said all three shells were defused and moved from the site by the BDS. Dawn
FC Conducted Search Operation in Kohlu District
Quetta: A suspected militant was killed and 19 others were captured in a search operation conducted by Frontier Corps (FC) in the Kohlu district. The search operation was conducted in Jannat Ali area. `One militant was killed in the heavy exchange of fire, ` FC spokesman said, adding that four submachine guns, two rifles and six motorcycles were recovered from the hideout. Karachi: An alert was issued by Law enforcement agencies regarding possibility of a terrorist attack on at least seven persons, including a professor and two senior police officers, in Karachi. Suspects Arrested in Islamabad
Islamabad: A search operation was conducted by the law enforcement agencies in different areas here on Saturday. As many as nine suspects were arrested and weapons were also recovered from their possession. According to police sources, the joint operation was conducted by Rangers and Islamabad police in Quaid-i-Azam University, Dhak Gibi and Dhok Tahli areas of Islamabad during which round about 60 houses and khokhas were searched. Grenade Attack in Orangi
