IED Explosion in Bajaur Agency Kills Levies Official
Kahr: A Levies Force official was killed after a remote-controlled IED exploded at Mamond in the Bajaur Agency, an official of the political administration said on Sunday. The bomb was detonated at 12 noon using a remote-controlled device when levies officials, who were on duty with the security force at the main post, visited the site. A search operation was later launched by the political administration along the security forces, arresting 17 persons under the collective responsibility clause of FCR. The Express Tribune
Army Says, Forces Killed 3500 ‘Terrorists’ in 2016
Islamabad: Security Forces has killed 3500 in 2016 during the major operation “Zarb-e-Azab”, the military has said in an annual report released on the eve of the New Year. During the outgoing year, a total of 583 civilians lost lives while 2108 were injured in terrorist acts, the report said. The military courts awarded sentenced 274 people in terrorism-related offences, including death penalty to 161 while imprisonment to 113 people. Suspected Terrorists Arrested from Peshawar Outskirts:
Peshawar: Peshawar police arrested two alleged terrorist in an overnight operation from the Wahid Garhi area on the outskirts of Peshawar and recovered weapons from their possession on Sunday. DSP Tahir Dawar told the media, more than twenty-five people were arrested in the operation which continues till the wee hours on Sunday. The police recovered three kilograms ammunition powder, improvised explosives and weapons from their possession. The Frontier Post

Over 7,000 displaced families from Orakzai miss registration
Kohat: The voluntary return of Orakzai has been largely completed. However, 7,939 families have not reported for registration in the three campaigns. In-charge of Orakzai Agency repatriation, Wajid, told that repatriation schedule was over now after completion of three phases of registration. Dawn
