Two Facilitators of Terrorists Held in Lakki
Lakki Marwat: Police claimed to have arrested two facilitators of terrorists during a search and strike operation carried out on a tip-off in Bargai village bordering the Frontier Region of Lakki. Sharif Approves LNG-based Power Plant for Punjab
Islamabad: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif approved a much-anticipated project for setting up of a Liquefied Natural Gas-fired power plant in Punjab under timelines to be decided later. While presiding over a meeting of the Cabinet Committee on Energy (CCE), the Prime Minister deferred two agenda items relating to circular debt and load management plan, but took interest in a presentation by officials from Punjab for setting up of a major power plant on what they called the `Bhikki model`. PTI Government to Present Fifth Budget in KP Today
The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI)-led coalition government in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will present its fifth and final budget for financial year 2017-18 today with the development outlay of Rs208 billion envisaging a loan of Rs52.55 billion to meet the pressing financial obligations. The annual budget having total outlay of over Rs600 billion is likely to be a “cut-and-paste” of the previous budgets as the provincial government is hardly bringing about any groundbreaking projects in its final budgetary plan. Dream of FATA Development to be realized after Merger with KP: Amir Muqam
