Combing Operations in Four Districts of Punjab
Lahore: Punjab Rangers and police took into custody 49 people in combing operations in four districts, according to a news release by Rangers. The operation was conducted in Lahore, Dera Ghazi Khan, Attock and Rajanpur where 49 people, stated to be militants, were taken into custody and a huge cache of ammunition, hate literature and liquor seized. IED Attack in Quetta
Quetta: Three personnel of the Frontier Corps and a civilian were injured in an improvised explosive device (IED) blast in the Sariab Road area of Quetta. According to police, the bomb went off when FC personnel were patrolling the Ziarat Bibi Nani area. Three FC soldiers patrolling on foot and a pedestrian passing the area got injured. Grenade Attack on Pasni Municipal Committee Offices
Gwadar: The building of the Pasni Municipal Committee was damaged in a grenade attack. According to police, some unidentified men on a motorcycle hurled the grenade that exploded in the courtyard of the office. Windowpanes and walls of the office and adjoining buildings were damaged in the blast. However, no casualty was reported. Dawn
TTP Affiliates Held in Karachi
Karachi: In a raid conducted in Malir’s Saudabad area, Hakeem Khan Afghani, allegedly affiliated with the TTP, was arrested. He is involved in target killings, terror facilitation and extortion, the spokesperson claimed. During the raids in Saeeabad’s Mawach Goth and Ittehad Town areas, four suspects were arrested. They are identified as Mohammed Shahid, Abdul Rehman, Rasool Bux and Mohammed Rafiq. The News

Badin: The Sukkur police`s Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) claimed to have arrested an activist of a banned organisation as police continued their province-wide crackdown against `aliens`, arresting four more Afghan nationals in Badin district. Weapons Siezed in Kohat
Kohat: In Kohat, an attempt to smuggle silencer-fitted weapons to Wana, South Waziristan, was foiled by the police near the Friendship Tunnel. Giving details at a press conference, Kohat SP (operations) Tariq Mehmood said that a pickup (BA-9719) coming from the arms manufacturing town of Darra Adamkhel was stopped near the tunnel. He said that during search the police team recovered a large quantity of arms and ammunition from secret cavities carved out in the vehicle. Afghanistan Requests Reopening of Border
Islamabad: Afghanistan has requested Pakistan for de-escalation and reopening of border crossing points between the two countries, said Foreign Office.
