Huge Cache of Arms Recovered in Bajaur
Bajaur Agency: The security forces have recovered a huge cache of arms in Jani Shah area of Mamond tehsil in Bajaur Agency and arrested three suspects. Security sources said the action was taken under operation Raddul Fasaad on Monday during which Russian Kalashnikovs, hand grenades, mortar shells, landmines, thousands of cartridges, bomb making manuals and maps were recovered. Pak Afghan Border to be Opened Temporarily at Torkham and Chaman
Islamabad: Pakistan announced temporary reopening of two border crossings with Afghanistan for two days to facilitate return of people stranded in each other`s country due to border closure. There are some 200 crossings on the 2,600-kilometre-long porous border between the two countries, nine of which are frequently used by people for cross-border movement. Karachi: The Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) of police claimed to have killed a suspected militant associated with a banned outfit and detained four of his accomplices after an `encounter` at their hideout in Korangi.
