Polio Team Police Guard Attacked
Charsadda: A polio team`s police guard escaped unhurt when unknown miscreants riding a motorcycle opened fire on him in Shabqadar tehsil, while a polio worker, who was kidnapped from FR Tank, was recovered. According to details, a polio team escorted by police was engaged in administering polio drops to children in Mohallah Mohsin Khan in Shabqadar tehsil of Charsadda district when unknown miscreants riding a motorcycle opened fire on the police guard, but luckily he escaped the attack. Four Convicted TTP Terrorists Hanged
Kohat: Another four men sentenced to death by military courts for heinous offences including killing innocent civilians, destroying communications and electricity infrastructure, destroying educational institutions, and attacking personnel of armed forces and other law enforcement agencies have been hanged. All of them belonged to the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan and confessed to having committed the crimes they were charged with, said a statement of the Inter-Services Public Relations. Eight Arrested in Karachi
Karachi: The Sindh Rangers claimed to have arrested eight suspects, including two activists of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement-London’s (MQM-L) armed wing, during raids in various parts of the city. Mohmand Agency: The political administration of Mohmand tribal agency bordering Afghanistan has imposed curfew in all parts of the district Mohmand except Prang Ghar tehsil due to security reasons. The Hague: The International Court of Justice (ICJ) ordered Pakistan to stay the execution of an Indian national convicted of spying. PM Postpones FATA Reforms Process on Request of JUI-F Chief
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has postponed further proceedings on the FATA reforms process for indefinite period on the request of the Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazl-ur-Rehman. Fazl-ur-Rehman telephoned the prime minister, who was in China, and convinced him to delay proceedings on the proposed amendment in the Constitution of Pakistan for reforms in FATA and implementation of Riwaj Act.
