Three Men Working on CPEC Road Project Killed
Kech: Three laborers working on a motorway project linked to the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) were gunned down by suspected militants in Hoshab, 125 kilometres north-east of Turbat. 26 BLF Militants Lay Down Arms in Baluchistan
Khuzdar: Three prominent leaders and 23 other members of the Baloch Liberation Front (BLF) surrendered themselves to authorities during a ceremony held at a Balochistan Frontier Corps camp. The 26 men handed over their weapons to the officials. Speaking on the occasion, one of the former BLF leaders, Umar Baloch, expressed regret over his involvement in the fight against his own country and people. BLA Militants Involved in Gas Line Blast Held
Karachi: Law enforcement agencies apprehended two suspected militants of the Baloch Liberation Army for carrying out a blast at a gas pipeline in the outskirts of Karachi. North Waziristan Completely Cleared of Militants: GOC
Major General Hassan Azhar Hayat, General Officer Commanding (GOC), said that peace had been restored completely in North Waziristan Agency after military operation Zarb-e-Azb. The area had been cleared of militants and there was no no-go area in the region now. The media persons of Peshawar were taken to North Waziristan for a visit after restoration of peace in the area. No Compromise on FATA-KP Merger
Aftab Sherpao, Qaumi Watan Party Chairman, has vowed that all conspiracies against the merger of FATA with KP would be foiled and any solution short of that would not be acceptable to Pukhtuns. Repatriation of South Waziristan Displaced People Completed: Governor
Iqbal Zafar Jhagra, Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, said that the repatriation of displaced people of South Waziristan Agency had been completed. Micro Hydel Power Station Opens in Dir
Dir: A micro hydel power station was opened in Darbar Maskini Darra area bordering Afghanistan. The project had been completed by the Sarhad Rural Support Programme at a cost of Rs 6.3 million. Commandant Jandol battalion Lt-Col Tauqir Ali Sheikh inaugurated the station during a function. Tauqir Sheikh said due to public support the Pak Army had brought lasting peace to the area.
