14 injured in Shabqadar attacks
Charsadda: In a series of attacks, assailants threw grenades at a school and planted explosive devices in four homes of Shabqadar tehsil, wounding at least 14 people. Police officials said explosive devices planted in the Mosal Koroona area of Saro police station division blew off at night, leaving at least 11 people injured. The explosion created panic in the area. Security forces and personnel of paramilitary Swat Scouts rushed to the spot after the incident and shifted the injured to a hospital. Terrorist with 400kg Explosives, Arms Arrested
Peshawar: The city police claimed to have arrested a terrorist and recovered 400 kilograms of explosives, arms and ammunition from his possession. Addressing a press conference at the Malik Saad Shaheed Police Lines, city police chief Mohammad Tahir Khan said it was a joint operation of the police and intelligence agencies, wherein they nabbed a terrorist identified as Khanzala and recovered explosives, arms and ammunition from his possession. Kohat: Four policemen including a station house officer (SHO) were killed in a terrorist attack near Lachi town. Police sources said the police mobile party was fired at by unknown gunmen near Lachi in Kohat district. Bannu: The police arrested an alleged militant in the Mandan area of Bannu district and recovered explosives and other material from him, police sources said. They said that the police were informed that a militant had returned to the Mandan area and was present at a nursery near Kangar Bridge. Two Cops Killed in Karachi Ambush
Karachi: Two policemen were killed and three others injured in an attack on a police mobile van in the Dhoraji area. According to reports, unidentified gunmen ambushed the police mobile, killing two police personnel and injuring three others. The martyred policemen were identified as ASI Iftikhar and Constable Raja Younus. Sources said that four terrorists on two motorcycles attacked the mobile in the Dhoraji area. The News

Zardari Vows to Make All-out Efforts for FATA-KP Merger
Asif Ali Zardari, former President and Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) co-chairman, has vowed to make all-out efforts for merger of FATA with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. A delegation comprising Al-Haaj Shah Jee Gul Afridi, Sajid Turi and other FATA parliamentarians and Mr. Zardari discussed impediments in implementation of reforms in FATA. Akram Kham, Federal Minister for Housing and Works, said that only the people from Tribal region had the power to decide that whether they wanted to merge with KP or to establish a separate province. Lahore: A convention organized by the Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) and the Lahore High Court Bar Association (LHCBA) demand for the prime minister`s resignation in the wake of the Supreme Court verdict in Panama Papers case which was cut short after a group of lawyers affiliated with the Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) barged into the conference room and roughed up the SCBA leaders. The host bar associations managed to eventually resume control of the stage and after a short deliberation announced a nationwide campaign against the prime minister if he did not tender his resignation by May 27. Pak Army and Political Administration of Orakzai Agency held a convention for the educated youth of the area. During the convention, Brigadier Imran, a Senior Commander, said that the educated youth of area could play a very important role in eradicating the roots of militancy and terrorism. Islamabad: Adviser to the Prime Minister on Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz rejected the criticism at home over adverse International Court of Justice (ICJ) ruling in the Kulbhushan Jadhav case as unfounded and said the domestic laws would prevail in the matter. The adviser was speaking at a media briefing arranged to respond to the growing criticism of the government`s inept handling of the case at ICJ, which had been petitioned by India over Pakistan`s refusal to grant consular access to the convicted spy.
