Blast at Panjgur School
Panjgur: Panic gripped students and staff of a private school in Panjgur when an explosive device hurled by unidentified people into the institute went off. The device landed in the courtyard. Two ‘terrorists’ Held; Explosives Seized
Toba Tek Singh: Counter-Terrorism Department police and personnel of intelligence agencies arrested two alleged terrorists and recovered detonators and other explosive materials from their possession. Weapons, Drugs Recovered from Mardan University
Mardan: Weapons were recovered from the Abdul Wali Khan University in Mardan as it was reopened for the first time since Mashal Khan, a student at the university, was lynched by a mob on accusations of blasphemy. According to media report, guns, pistols and knives were recovered from the university as police conducted a search operation. NATO Weapons Recovered from MQM’s Secret Offices in Islamabad

Khattak Opens Work on Twin Tunnels
Malakand: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Pervez Khattak has said that huge employment opportunities would be created in the Malakand region with the completion of the Swat Expressway. He was speaking at a ceremony held to inaugurate the Swat twin tube tunnel project at Zulam Kot in Malakand district. Hydro Power Training Institute Construction Work Launched
Lahore: Pakistan Water and Power Development Authority (Wapda) has commenced construction work on Hydro Power Training Institute (HPTI), Mangla. French Ambassadors Mrs Martine Dorance and the European Union (EU) Jean Francois Cautain jointly broke the ground to initiate construction work on HPTI in a ceremony. EU is providing 2.5 million Euros as grant, while AFD is giving 1.5 million Euros funding as loan for setting up the state-of-the-art training facility to enhance technical capabilities of engineers and technicians associated with hydro power sector in Pakistan. KP Govt Signs $10.86 bn Mega Project Agreements with FWO
Peshawar: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government signed with the Frontier Works Organization (FWO) four agreements for as many mega projects worth $10.86 billion (Rs1, 173 billion). KP Assembly Demands Immediate Execution of Kulbushan Jadhav
Peshawar: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly unanimously passed a resolution demanding of the government to immediately implement a death sentence for Kulbushan Jadhav, an Indian national convicted for spying and subversive activities in the country. `Kulbushan Jadhav is an agent of Indian spy agency, RAW, who had been involved in spreading anarchy in Pakistan for long. No Decision yet on Joining Anti-Extremism Alliance: PM
Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif said Pakistan had not taken a final decision yet on becoming a part of the alliance against extremism. The Proposed Rewaj Act, a New FCR
The draft of the Tribal areas Rewaj Bill, 2017 envisaged two different judicial systems that would function simultaneously in FATA. According to the bill, Supreme Court and High Court of Peshawar would extend their jurisdiction in FATA. Jirga would function at the trial stage, similar to their function under FCR. US Envoy Reminds Pakistan of Pledge in Anti-Terror Fight
Islamabad: US Ambassador David Hale hoped Pakistan would live up to its pledge of not allowing terrorists to use its soil against any other country as he called for greater Pak-US cooperation for peace and stability in the region. Third Maritime Patrol Ship Inducted for Security of CPEC Route
Minister for Ports and Shipping Mir Hasil Khan Bizenjo has said that Pakistan has witnessed major challenges in the shape of regional conflicts and invasion due to its geographic location and with the inception of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) it has become a Centre of global attention. He was speaking at the induction ceremony of the third Chinese-built maritime patrol ship PMSS Dasht at the naval dockyard.
