Four Injured in IED Explosion along Line of Control
Azad Jammu and Kashmir: At least four people sustained injuries in a blast after their vehicle ran over an improvised explosive device (IED) along the Line of Control (LoC) in Azad Jammu and Kashmir. The public transport vehicle was passing through the Khilana area to drop passengers from Rawalpindi when the IED went off at about 9.50pm. Peace Body Head among Four Gunned Down
Peshawar: Four people, including head of a local Aman Lashkar, were killed and another was injured when unidentified attackers opened fire on their vehicle in the outskirts of Peshawar. A police official told that the incident took place at Iftar, saying the slain were heading to the Adezai village when unidentified attackers opened fire on them near Koh Daman area. Aman Lashkar Volunteer Killed, Two others Injured in IED Blast in Tirah Valley
Khyber Agency: A volunteer of a local peacekeeping force, Mir Jan, was killed and two others injured in an IED blast in Nari Baba area of the remote Tirah valley in Khyber Agency. The incident took place when three members of the local aman lashkar were travelling in a car which struck an already planted improvised explosive device. Radio TNN
Terrorism Claims 5700 Lives in Fata during Past Six Years, NA Told
The Ministry of State and Frontier Regions (SAFRON) told the National Assembly that more than 5700 individuals including personnel of the civil administration have fallen prey to terrorism in Fata during the last six years. The data did not include the casualties of the armed forces such as Pak Army and paramilitary Frontier Corps. According to the statistics as provided by the SAFRON, as many as 5332 civilians, 234 levies personnel and 174 Khasadar personnel have been killed, while 6427 individuals were also injured during the last six years in different terrorism related incidents. Panama Leaks JIT: SC sets aside Husain’s Objections
Islamabad: The Supreme Court rejected the plea of Hussain Nawaz, the son of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharf, seeking replacement of two members of the Joint Investigation Team (JIT) probing the allegations of financial irregularities and money laundering, allegedly involving the prime minister and his family for establishing properties abroad. A three-member special bench of the apex court, headed by Justice Ejaz Afzal Khan, heard the application of Hussain Nawaz, who had expressed reservations about the two JIT members. The News

Chinese Firm to set up Oil Refinery in KP
Peshawar: A Chinese company has shown interest in setting up an oil refinery in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Oil and Gas Company Limited (KPOGCL) and Jereh Group have joined hands for establishment of 15,000 Bpd refinery in the province. Rs220m Released for Landi Khan Water Supply Scheme
The political administration of Khyber Agency released Rs220 million for the water supply scheme of Landi Khana, a village in Landi Kotal tehsil of Khyber Agency. According to Political Agent Khalid Mehmood, engineers have started mapping of the project. With the completion of water supply scheme, clean drinking water would be supplied not only to Landi Kotal cantonment area and other government offices, but also to Zakha Khel, Shinwari and other tribes living in Landi Kotal tehsil. Work on Road Rehabilitation Launched in Bajaur
A scheme of road rehabilitation was finally launched in Kamangra area of Bajaur Agency. The 10km long Nawagi-Kamangra road was damaged during counter-militancy drive in 2009.
