Dera Ismail Khan: Militants kidnap six workers of a Polish oil and gas company
Six Pakistani workers of a Polish oil and gas surveying company, Geofizyka Krakow, were kidnapped along with three of their body guards. According to sources, the victims were kidnapped on 26 November, near the village of Darazinda, about 80 kilometers from the city of Dera Ismail Khan. A senior police official told media that the body guards belonged to tribal police and were later released by the militants while the oil workers were believed to be taken towards the tribal agency of South Waziristan. Security forces launched a search operation in Dera Ismail Khan and South Waziristan agency.[1]

Karachi: A traffic police official and a member of Ahmaddi community dies in two separate shootouts
According to officials, two unknown assailants, riding a motorcycle, opened fire on Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), Faiz Ali Shigri and his driver, near the Balochistan Saji House restaurant in Gulistan-e-Jauhar area of Karachi. Faiz Ali and his driver were rushed to a nearby hospital in critical conditions, where upon arrival, the doctors declared the DSP dead. Besides, a member of Ahmaddi community was shot dead by unidentified assailants in Kaneez Fatima Society of Sachal area in Karachi.[2]
Karachi: Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan’s (TTP) central leadership chooses a former policeman as a leader of the faction in the city
TTP’s central chief Fazlullah announced Daud Mahsud, a former policeman, as the new TTP Karachi chief and instructed all factions of the banned outfit to follow his directives. The announcement was made through a two-minute video message posted by the organization from an unknown location.[3]

Toba Tek Singh: Law enforcement agencies arrest a prayer leader in Gojra
Qari Muhammad Imran, a prayer leader of the village mosque, was arrested after law enforcement agencies raided his house on 27 November, in Chak 162-GB Nowshera. According to villagers, the prayer leader, basically belonging to Khanewal, was arrested on the bases of “allegedly extremist thoughts” and was shifted to an undisclosed location for interrogation.[4]

Bajaur Agency: Activists of Jamat-e-Islami stage protest against delay in FATA reforms
Members of Jamaat-i-Islami, Bajaur Agency, staged a protest demonstration against the delay in implementation of reforms in tribal areas and threatened to launch an agitation if the colonial era based governance system, Frontier Crimes Regulation (FCR), was not replaced with the country`s regular laws within a month.[5]

FATA requires special attention of the government
The preamble of a special report by a sub-committee of the Senate’s Standing Committee on States and Frontier Regions released on 25 November was recently surfaced. According to the report, war stricken parts of the Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) require special attention of the government for their development but the authorities appear to be least concerned about the area. Fata people were initially tormented by terrorism and now by a step-motherly attitude of the government. The report stressed that South Waziristan agency has suffered the most due to terrorism as compared to other parts of FATA but is not given half the needed attention by the government in regards to development and reconstruction.[6]

Lahore: Provincial Government adds eleven ministers into Punjab cabinet
According to an order issued by Governor, Rafique Rajwana, 11 ministers were added to the Punjab cabinet on 27 November. Following are the names of the 11 ministers; Jehangir Khanzada, NaghmaMushtaq, Amanatullah Khan Shadikhel, Khawaja SalmanRafique, Sheikh Allauddin, Muhammad Manshaullah Butt, MehrIjaz Ahmed Achlana, Syed Zaeem Hussain Qadri, Muhammad Naeem Akhtar Khan Bhabha, Syed Raza Ali Gillani and Malik Ahmed Yar Hanjra.[7]

Mansehra: PMLN MNA, inaugurates two road projects in Oghi
Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) MNA, Muhammad Safdar inaugurated two road projects worth of around Rs700 million in Oghi on 27 November. Mr. Safdar, while addressing a public gathering on the occasion, stated that, `we believe in prosperity of people through bringing real development to the neglected areas.’ The two roads inaugurated by the MNA were Oghi-Kabal road with an estimated cost of Rs. 400 million and Bandi Paraw-Chimial road with Rs270 million of cost.[8]

Islamabad: National Finance Commission to Discuss its Biannual Report
The NFC commission, headed by Finance Minister Ishaq Dar will meet on 28 November to discuss its biannual report which is to be presented to the Parliament. Provincial finance ministers for Sindh and Balochistan will not be attending the meeting.[9]

Bahawalpur: New Agriculture Policy Promises Economic Relief to Farmers
Provincial Agriculture Secretary Muhammad Mahmood has said that the Punjab government has introduced a new agriculture policy to provide maximum economic relief to the farmers. The new policy aims to revitalize the agriculture sector through sustained financial and technical intervention, which would make the agriculture profession profitable.[10]

Peshawar: PAJCCI Expresses Concern over Heavy Taxation
Pakistan-Afghanistan Joint Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PAJCCI) senior vice president Zia-ul-Haq Sarhadi has expressed concern over the imposition of heavy taxes on the trucks carrying export goods to Afghanistan by the authorities in Kabul.[11]

Islamabad: UK strengthening relations with Pakistan
The United Kingdom is looking to improve its longstanding relations with Pakistan by bolstering trade, economic, security and cultural cooperation as it seeks to re-establish itself at the global stage ahead of exiting European Union (EU).British Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson was here earlier this week to lay the groundwork for rebooting of the relationship.[12]
