Khyber Agency: Militant dies in an encounter with security forces
According to official sources, a militant identified as Noor Mohammad a.k.a Noorai allegedly opened fire on security forces in Makki Khel locality of Ghundi area. The security forces retaliated and killed Noorai on the spot and recovered two hand grenades along with other weapons from his possession.[1]
SWA: School teacher wounded in Improvised Explosive Device (IED) blast
According to local tribesman. A school teacher severely wounded when an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) planted inside his home went off. Mumtaz Ali had returned to his home in Patolai, Ladha subdivision of South Waziristan Agency (SWA) two weeks ago after spending a number years as IDP in Dera Ismail Khan. Following the incident, he was rushed to District Headquarter Hospital D.I.Khan where doctors had to amputate his leg.[2]

Peshawar: Unidentified assailants kill a policeman in Khazana area
Ibad Ali, a clerk at Police Lines Peshawar was going back to home after duty in Khazana area when unknown armed men shot him dead. The assailant were riding a motorcycle and fled after killing the policeman.[3]

Sialkot: Cross border shelling by Indian forces injure civilians in Silakot
According to Punjab Rangers, seven people, including two women and a minor, were wounded by unprovoked mortar shelling of Indian forces in Shakar Garh sector along Sialkot Working Boundary on October 30. Two of the injured were taken to Sialko Combined Military Hospital (CMH) while the remaining five were shifted to Shakargarh THQ Hospital.[4]
Sargodha: CTD arrests suspected militants and recovers explosives
A spokesperson of Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) of police claimed that the department has arrested four suspected terrorists allegedly planning to attack offices of Law Enforcement Agencies in Sargodha city. The spokesperson said that the department responded to a tip-off regarding presence of militants associated with Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and raided a militant hideout near 47 Bus Stand. The CTD team also recovered four suicide jackets, one rifle and one handgun from the possession of the arrested suspects.[5]
Khanewal: Terrorists killed in a security operation near Khanewal city
The Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) team conducted a counter-militancy operation, while pursuing a lead of presence of terrorists in Ahmad Wali Pul area near Khanewal and killed four suspected militants while two of their companions fled away during the operation. The CTD also recovered two hand grenades, one rifle and two pistols from the possession of the killed militants.[6]

Karachi: Dozens of suspects arrested in search operations in metropolitan city
In the wake of recent terror attack in Central District of Karachi, police conducted search operations in Mosi Colony, Mujahid Colony and Khamosh Colony areas of the city. During the search operations, security personnel arrested 50 suspected militants and shifted them to different police stations in the city for further interrogation.[7]

Bajaur Agency: Political activists and traders protest against illegal construction
A protest was staged by All Bajaur Political Parties Alliance and All Bajaur Traders Association in Khar tehsil of Bajaur agency against illegal construction of shops along the road in Sadiq Abad Bazar area of the agency. The protestors claimed that some influential people were constructing new shops along the road in violation of a decision taken by local administration that there would be no shops within 30 meters on both sides of the road.[8]

Peshawar: Mineral development department starts issuing licenses to investors
A high level meeting was Chaired by Provincial Minister for Mineral Development and Labour, Anisa Zeb Tahir Khelo at Peshawar. The meeting was attended by officials from Mineral Development Department and other relevant departments. The mineral development department decided to start issuing licenses to interested investors and parties through online applications for leases. The provincial minister directed the mineral development department to ensure transparency and error-free procedure during the whole process.[9]
Peshawar: 1.2 MW power house starts working in Kalam
Sarhad Rural Support Programme (SRSP) in collaboration with Eurpean Union restored a power house with generation capacity of 1.2 Mega Watts of electricity in Ashuran area of Kalam. The power house was one of the two dysfunctional power houses handed over to SRSP for restoration by Pakhtunkhwa Energy Development (PEDO) in 2013 under Peace Project.[10]
Peshawar: 280,000 Afghan refugees return home
The UNHCR repatriation programme helped repatriating 280,000 Afghan refugees back to Afghanistan in 2016. A UNHCR spokesperson told media that about five thousand Afghan refugees are being repatriated to Afghanistan on daily basis. The repatriated families are not only provided cash assistance but are also being facilitated with free accommodation in Nangarhar and Wardak provinces.[11]

Karachi: Abraaj Group sells 66.4 percent of its shares in K-Electric to Shanghai Electric Power Company (SEP).
Shanghai Electrict Power Company (SEP), a subsidiary of the State Power Investment Corporation of China signs an agreement with Dubai-based Abraaj Group to buy 66.4 percent of the company’s shareholding in K-Electric. Abraaj group said, on October 30, that upon completion, the deal would prove to be one of the largest private sector transactions in Pakistan.[12]

Islamabad: FBR estimates loss if petroleum prices remain unchanged
Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) reported that if the petroleum prices are not changed, the tax machinery will have to face up to Rs 575 billion of estimated loss till the end of the current financial year. According to sources, the FBR has so far faced revenue shortfall of around Rs 60 billion during the first quarter of the ongoing fiscal year. FBR is also facing a gigantic challenge of achieving tax collection target of Rs 3621 billion by the end of current financial year.[13]
