Tripartite meeting in Kabul to eliminate IS from region
ISLAMABAD: Pakistan, Afghanistan and the United States at a tripartite meeting vowed to eliminate the militant Islamic State group also known by its Arabic acronym Daesh from the region. The meeting held in Kabul identified `information sharing, com-plementary efforts and enhanced cooperation` as the areas in which the three can cooperate for countering the IS in the region. FO warns India against misadventure
ISLAMABAD: The Foreign Office warned India against any misadventure as ceasefire violations by Indian troops so far this year surpassed the figure of 700 nearly double the violations reported last year. Violations by Indian forces have been rising over the past few years, more specifically after Narendra Modi became India`s prime minister, but the increase this year has been unprecedented, going up from 382 in 2016 to over 700 so f ar this year.
