Mohmand Agency: Three cops martyred in a suicide explosion outside Ghallanai Headquarters
At least five people, including three Levies personnel, were killed and three people wounded on Wednesday as a suicide bomber blew himself at the main gate of Ghalanai Headquarters of Mohmand Agency. Security forces foiled the terrorists’ attempt to enter the agency’s headquarters in the area and killed the suicide bomber at the main gate. Khyber News , Radio TNN
Mohmand Agency: Child injured in landmine blast
A child suffered critical injuries in a landmine explosion in Mamond tehsil of Mohmand agency. The political administration said that a child was playing outside his home in Inamkhoro Cheena area when a landmine exploded. Opposition members staged a walkout from the Senate to register their protest over delay in introducing reforms in tribal areas. Peshawar: KP proposes 17 power projects for economic corridor
The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has proposed 17 energy projects of 2,825 megawatts and $9,357 million for inclusion in the multibillion dollar China-Pakistan Economic Corridor. Also, a consultant has been hired for 300 megawatts Balakot hydropower project to be launched with the support of the Asian Development Bank. This was stated by provincial energy and power minister Mohammad Atif during a meeting of the energy and power department. According to a statement, the minister told participants that the award of Sharmai hydel power project was being given to joint venture of Sapphire Electric and Sino Hydro of China. Dawn , The News
