Landikotal: Stranded Afghans Protested against Torkham Border Closure
Landikotal: Afghan nationals stranded at Landikotal and other areas of Khyber Agency staged a protest demonstration against the closure of Torkham border and appealed to Pakistani authorities to reopen the border to facilitate them in reaching their homes in Afghanistan. The protesting Afghan nationals while holding passports in their hands rallied in Landikotal bazar and chanted slogans. Radio TNN
Terror Bid Foiled as BDU Defuses Two Bombs in Mardan
Mardan: The Bomb Disposal Unit (BDU) personnel on Sunday defused two remote-controlled bombs planted by unknown miscreants at the Dubai Adda Road in Mardan. The Chari police station SHO Tahir Khan told TNN that acting on tip-off police and BDU took prompt action and recovered two remote-controlled bombs from Dubai Adda Road which were planted underneath a bridge and on the roadside. Three People Killed in Gun Attack in D.I. Khan
Dara Ismail Khan: At least three persons were killed in a gun attack in Parwa tehsil of Dera Ismail Khan district. According to police, unknown armed men ridding on a motorbike opened indiscriminate firing at Saqlain Abbas, Ali Raza and Jamil while they were sitting at the beach of a canal in Parwa tehsil. As a result of firing, all the three, who were cousins, were killed on the spot. Radio TNN , Khyber News
