Peshawar, February 17, 2017: At least four militants were killed during an ambush on a security check post in Ghalochena area of Hangu district, official sources told FRC. The incident took place close to Orakzai Agency of tribal areas.
According to details, a group of militants ambushed the security check post; however, they were killed in the exchange of fire with the security forces.
Apart from this, two militants were killed also killed during a clash with security forces in Shengara Dara area of Dir district.
Separately, Al-Qaeda’s spokesman for Asia claimed responsibility for the killings of four police officials in Dera Ismail Khan. Moreover, Qari Saifullah, the spokesperson for Hakimaullah Mahsud group of Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), also claimed responsibility for the killings of police officials.
Earlier on Thursday, February 16, 2017, four policemen were killed when unidentified gunmen opened fire on a police mobile vehicle of Dera Town at Mission More area of Dera Ismail Khan.
It is pertinent to mention that militants have intensified their attacks across the country, as the toll has spiraled to 12 militant attacks within the span of five days.
