ISLAMABAD: The Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) has made it clear that a ceasefire by the government for talks will not be acceptable without a complete halt to drone attacks. The TTP spokesperson, Shahidullah Shahid, called this correspondent from an undisclosed location in South Wiziristan Agency to clarify the stance of his outfit about the ceasefire offer. “The TTP stands for a complete halt to drone attacks simultaneously with the ceasefire as in its opinion these strikes cannot be made without the tacit permission and knowledge of the government,” he said. BAJAUR AGENCY: A security man received injures while a militant was killed when unknown miscreants attacked Bajaur levies post in Sheikh Kali area of Tehsil Khar. The officials of local administration told that a group of unidentified militants fired several rockets and mortars at a post of Bajaur levies force at Sheikh Kali, 18 Km from Khar the headquarters of the agency. PESHAWAR (APP): Member National Assembly (MNA) from NA 41 North Waziristan Ghalib Khan Wazir said that following the directives of Federal Minister for Water and Power, Tribal Areas Electric Supply Company (TESCO) has issued orders for establishment of new feeders and installation of transmission lines in Wana and adjacent areas. Talking to APP here, he said that TESCO chief Pervaiz Swati has asked concerned quarters to set up new feeders and installed new transmission lines to address the issue of low voltage in D.I.Khan, Wana and tribal areas. PESHAWAR: Tribal Areas Electricity Supply Company (TESCO) has disconnected 05 illegal industrial connections in Mulagori area of Khyber agency. According to a company’s press release issued here in Peshawar five illegal industrial units of Fazli Karim , Jamal Shah , Sehat Mir , Akbar Shah and Jumat Mir were running illegally in Mulagori area which were disconnected by TESCO Khyber sub division staff with the cooperation of political administration. Meanwhile TESCO has lodged request with the political administrations of Jamrud Tehsil Khyber agency for taking action against 05 private electricians who are involved in reconnecting of illegal industrial connections. ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister’s Advisor on National Security and Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz has said that Pakistan has effectively raised the issue of drone strike at UN forum with a view to building pressure of the international public opinion on the United States to change the policy.

HANGU: A suicide bomber attacked the headquarters of local Taliban commander Mullah Nabi Hanafi in Orakzai Agency, killing at least 12 people and completely destroying the headquarters on early Thursday. According to the sources, at first the attackers broke into the headquarters and opened fire after which the suicide bomber rammed an explosive-laden vehicle into the headquarters. MIRAMSHAH: The Pakistani Taliban insisted that the US drone strikes in the country`s northwest must stop before they would consider peace talks with the government. TTP spokesman Shahidullah Shahid said any ceasefire must include an end to US drone attacks, which have been targeting suspected Taliban and Al Qaeda militants since 2004. `A ceasefire alone is not sufficient.
