South Waziristan Agency, October 12: Five persons killed and four others injured in a clash between security forces and militants in Ladda, South Waziristan Agency last night, sources said.
According to the official sources, a check post of security forces was attacked by TTP militants in tehsil Ladda, SWA in which two security personnel were killed while in retaliation three militants were also killed and four others injured.
On the other hand TTP spokesman Ehsanullah Ehsan claimed that TTP killed 15 security personnel, destroyed a tank and snatched four military guns from security forces. Six soldiers were also beheaded, Ehsanullah Ehsan claimed through telephonic conversation with FRC reporter.
The official sources revealed that the communication system was very poor in the area where the incident took place. Due to temporary distortion in communication system the accurate number of casualties could not be estimated till the time of reporting, an official added.
In another incident a civilian injured by a bomb blast near Wana Bazaar of South Waziristan today, FRC field reporter La’l Wazir added.
According to the details the bomb was planted on roadside that damaged a nearby spare-parts shop. The injured tribesman was identified as Noor Muhammad who has been shifted to the agency headquarters hospital Wana for treatment.
The area has been cordoned off by security forces immediately after the incident. It is worth mentioning that the road has often been used for the movement of security forces in Wana.
