BAJAUR AGENCY Oct 24: Students of Government Post Graduate Collage Khar visited Lahore to get an insight into social and cultural life of the provincial capital of the Punjab through visiting different educational institutions and historical places, FRC learnt.
According to details, USAID arranged a study tour to Lahore for the students of Government Post Graduate College Khar. The five days long tour was organized by USAID in collaboration with Fata Secretariat Special Project (FSSP).
During the trip, students and teachers visited several historical places like Wagha Border, Minar-e-Pakistan, Shahi Qila, Maqbara e Jahangir, Mosque Wazir Khan, Shalimar Garden, Badshahi Masjid and Iqbal Tomb.
The delegation also paid visits to the Punjab University, Government College University Lahore, National Science Museum, Jinnah Park, Race Course Park, Anar Kali Market, Liberty Market, Jalo Park, Sozo Park and other attractive sites.
The students took keen interest in the historical places and termed it a memorable study tour. The teachers and students also appreciated the efforts of USAID for arranging such an informative and interesting study tour.
An official of the Fata Secretariat Special Project (FSSP) told journalists here at Khar on Tuesday that during the tour students were provided an opportunity of healthy and positive activities and they had discussed different constructive topics with the students of several educational institutions.
The officials said that these types of tours would boost the talent of the students of tribal areas and such like tours would also be arranged soon for the other collages of the agency.
