BAJAUR AGENCY, September 26: Bajaur Agency Political Agent Syed Abdul Jabar Shah said that the local administration is taking keen interest in improving women’s education in the agency as female education is essential for the development of society.
According to the details: while addressing a ceremony, arranged for giving award to Marina Sultana, a student of Government Girls Degree College Khar, who topped in the Bajaur Agency in Bachelors examinations by securing 443 marks.The political agent said that education is fundamental for promoting peace and sustainable development in the tribal areas and now the local administration is committed to promote education in the agency. As education is the essence of life and provides spirit of development and progress. No one could make progress without getting education. The political agent awarded Rs50, 000 to Marina Sultana as prize for her outstanding performance in the BA examinations.In a ceremony, Marina Sultana shared her feelings and said that it is an honor for her that she achieved a position in the BA examinations. And she hopes that it will help in promoting female education in the region.Ms Sultana vowed to work for promoting female education and protecting women rights in the tribal areas and said “I know the problems and hurdles in the way of female education in the tribal areas. I will make all out efforts for promotion of girls’ education as well for protection of women rights.”
