Miranshah, March 6: A Jirga demanded inception of development projects from government of Pakistan held here at Razmak on Tuesday, North Waziristan Agency while assuring the Political administration for the contribution of people in restoring and maintaining peace, FRC Field Reporter told.
According to details, the Jarga held at Army Camp in sub-division Razmak which was comprised of tribal elders of three tehsils of sub-division Razmak including Tehsil Razmak, Dosati and Garium, and the officials of political administration and Pakistan military.
The tribal elders briefed their contribution in maintaining peace in the area. “There is peace, comparatively in our area, because of people’s will to establish it”, Malik Shamal Khan, one of the elders addressed.
Malik Mada Noor, another elder in Jarga, said unfortunately there is no development project ongoing in the area that depicts ignorance on government side.
Political Agent of North Waziristan Agency Siraj Ahmad Khan and Pakistan Army commander of 212 Brigade, Brigadier Azhar Khan, present at the occasion, listened public demands in the Jarga. Political Agent Siraj Ahmad Khan shed light on the ongoing developmental works in the Razmak sub-division.
“There were initially 7 development projects going on in Razmak sub-division but now the administration has infused ten more projects”, said Mr. Khan.
He further said that the administration is doing their best to work for the uplift of the people of the area but prerequisite to such works is peace.
Tribal elders pledged their full support to the government in maintaining peace in the area. They also demanded of the Military and Political Administration to recommence classes at Razmak Cadet College that has been shifted to Nowshehra around two years back due to worst security situation in the area.
