Top JuA Militant Ehsanullah Ehsan in Army Custody
Islamabad: The army announced that one of Jamaat-ul-Ahrar top leaders and former Tehreeki-Taliban Pakistan spokesman Ehsanullah Ehsan had surrendered himself to security forces. The announcement was made by Inter-Services Public Relations Director General Maj Gen Asif Ghafoor towards the end of his media briefing that largely focused on major counter-terrorism operations carried out by the military since the launch of Operation Radd-ul-Fasaad. IS Facilitator Arrested
Lahore: The law enforcement agencies arrested a facilitator of the so-called Islamic State (IS) militant group during a combing operation in Cantonment Area. Per sources, Umer alias Sufiyan of Multan was arrested for arranging accommodation for the militants by renting appalments in different city areas. The suspect was also involved in providing residence to Azeem alias Abu Fauji, who is still absconding. Dawn
Child Dies in Cracker Blast
Quetta: A child died and three others were injured when a cracker went off in the Killi Barat area. According to the police, unidentified people in a vehicle hurled the cracker wrapped in a handkerchief on the children playing outside their house and fled. Four Injured in Indian Shelling
Azad Jammu and Kashmir: Two men and as many women were injured and some houses were damaged in Indian firing and shelling from across the Line of Control in different areas of Azad Jammu and Kashmir. The first casualty was reported from Khuiratta sector in the southern Kotli district where Mohammad Shakil, 35, was injured in Janjot Bahadar village. Three-Day Anti-polio Drive Begins in FATA Today
A three-day anti-polio campaign has started in the Federally Administered Tribal Area (Fata) from today (Monday) to administer anti-polio drops to children below five years of age.
