JUI-F leader shot dead in Charsadda
CHARSADDA: A religious scholar and leader of the Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) was shot dead in Shabgadar tehsil of Charsadda district. According to police, Maulana Haq Nawaz Haqqani, administrator of Jamia Muhammadia in the Matta Mughalkhel area, was going to the mosque in his seminary for Fajr prayer at about 4.20am when two men on a motorcycle opened fire on him. Quetta carnage suspect held, SC told
Quetta: The Supreme Court was informed that Balochistan police had arrested a suspect involved in the Aug 8, 2016, Quetta carnage in which at least 74 people, mostly lawyers, had lost their lives. Deputy Inspector General of police`s Counter Terrorism Department Aitzaz Goraya told a three-judge bench headed by Justice Asif Saeed Khosa that besides nabbing Saeed Badini, police were also conducting raids with the help of intelligence agencies to arrest two fugitives. Khyber tribes asked to surrender people involved in blasts
Khyber Agency: Khyber Agency political administration served notices on Malakdinkhel and Akkakhel tribes under Collective Territorial Responsibility clause of Frontier Crimes Regulations to surrender to it the 23 suspected tribesmen allegedly involved in two bomb attacks in Bara. Use of UK, SA soil for Karachi terror alarms Nisar
Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan during a meeting with DG Rangers Sindh, expressed concern over the use of British and South African soils for terrorism and bloodshed in Karachi. Illegal Afghans asked to leave Jamrud
Khyber Agency: The political administration has ordered all the Afghan nationals staying illegally to leave Jamrud with an immediate effect. The APA on the recommendations of the jirga issued notices to the Afghan families through the Khasadar force and those local residents who had rented out their properties to Afghans for immediate vacation of their houses. The administration warned the Afghans of arrest and deportation to Afghanistan along with demolition of the houses if they failed to comply with the official orders.
