Three Terrorists Arrested in Swabi
Swabi: Topi Police, after receiving information about a terror plot by some suspects, conducted a raid and arrested three militants. Police also recovered one pistol, two hand grenades and five kilograms explosive material from the possession of the militants. Proclaimed Offender Arrested in Buner
Buner: Buner Police arrested a proclaimed offender belonging to Swabi during a raid. The operation was carried out in Koga area where proclaimed offender Faqir Taj was arrested. Police said Fazle Wahab, who provided shelter to the criminal, has also been arrested. Radio TNN
Two Women among Three Killed in Firing on Chingchi Rickshaw in Mardan
Mardan: At least three persons, including two women, were killed and a girl sustained injuries in firing on a Chingchi rickshaw in Mardan. Police said the incident happened on Swabi Road near Bagh Killi where Sher Muhammad, hailing from Machai area of Rustam, was targeted. The relatives of the slain women said they had no enmity with anyone. Radio TNN
Two Terror Suspects Killed in Encounter
Lahore: Law enforcement agencies killed two suspected terrorists in two targeted operations in Dera Ghazi Khan. They were allegedly planning to attack Yum-i-Ali procession and events in the city. JIT Accused of Tapping Phones of Witnesses
The house of the Prime Minister accused the JIT, probing the panama gate case, of phone tapping and monitoring of witnesses. It is a violation of the law and constitution. No School for Girls or Boys in Wrasta Area of Central Kurram
Hundreds of children in Wrasta area of Central Kurram Agency are deprived of education due to lack of any school for boys or girls in the area. 512 families live in Wrasta area but there is no school for boys or girls in the area. The local people said other schools are situated at least 12 to 14 kilometres away from Wrasta and the area people cannot afford to send their children to these schools due to poverty. TEN NGOs Requests Rejected
Interior Minister, Chudry Nissar Ali Khan, was informed that 66 international non-government organizations had been registered so far and the application of ten others rejected under the new procedure adopted by the ministry. The minister called for the completion of the process to register the INGOs through the online procedure by July 31.
