Seven People Injured in IED Blast in Mamond, Bajaur Agency
Bajaur Agency: At least seven people were injured in a roadside improvised explosive device (IED) explosion in Mamond tehsil of Bajaur Agency. The incident took place in Dabar area of Mamond Tehsil. IS Men Arrested in Sialkot
Sialkot: The Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) of police claimed to have arrested five alleged militants of banned IS in Sialkot. The police team also recovered explosives and maps from them. A CTD spokesman said a Gujranwala police team got information that five militants belonging to proscribed IS were present in an area near Gohdpur Chowk and were planning to attack sensitive installations in Sialkot. NA Speaker not allowing Fata Lawmakers to Participate in Budget Debate: Shahabuddin
Shahabuddin Khan, Member of National Assembly from Bajaur Agency has alleged that Speaker Ayaz Sadiq is not giving him opportunity to participate in budget debate. The MNA further said that the government has allocated Rs 26 million for Fata in budget; however, this amount would never be spent on tribal areas. Massive Decline Witnessed in Movement across Torkham Border during Ramazan
A remarkable decline has been witnessed in movement of people across the Pak-Afghan border at Torkham during the month of Ramazan. The movement of people decreased after possession of visa was declared mandatory for crossing the border. The administration sources said at least 4,500 people crossed the border from both sides on daily basis in April and May. Implementation of Sales Tax is not acceptable in FATA
Senator Hadayatullah from Bajaur Agency said that imposing sales tax on the conflict inflicted people of FATA would not be accepted in any case. According to him, war on terror destroyed everything in FATA. Since military operations, there was no business activity in the region. Pakistan Urges Arab States to Negotiate
Islamabad: The National Assembly unanimously passed a resolution urging Arab countries led by Saudi Arabia as well as Qatar to show restraint and resolve their differences through dialogue. Pakistan Ready for Mediation in Qatar Crisis
Kazakhstan: Pakistan is all set to mediate among the Gulf countries and is going to undertake a multi-pronged diplomatic initiative for resolving the crisis in the Arab world. Islamabad will put up efforts to stall escalation of tension between the brotherly countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) as the first step.
