Illegal Afghans among 35 Suspects Held in Jamrud
Khyber Agency: The security forces on Friday arrested 35 suspects, including six militants and 19 illegal Afghan nationals, and seized unlicensed arms and ammunition during a search operation in Jamrud tehsil of Khyber Agency. Official sources told Dawn that a curfew was imposed in Shah Kas locality of Jamrud ahead of the `search and cordon operation` in light of a tip-off about the presence of suspects in the area. Dawn

LeJ Militant Sentenced to Death
Karachi: An antiterrorism court sentenced a Lashkar-i-Jhangvi militant to life imprisonment for a bomb blast in Patel Para of the city in July 2013. The ATC-VII judge, who conducted the trial inside the central prison for security reasons, handed down life term to LJ militant Imran on two counts pertaining to the bomb explosion in a flat in Patel Para in which his three accomplices had died.
