Two FC men Injured in Bolan blast
Quetta: Two personnel of the paramilitary Frontier Corps (FC) were injured in a bomb blast in Bolan district. Official sources said that an improvised explosive device was placed on a roadside. They said it went off when the FC personnel were passing through the area. After the blast, FC men deployed in a nearby area rushed to the site and shifted the injured to a hospital. Khyber Agency People Told to Surrender Arms to Security Forces
Khyber Agency: Security forces have asked the elders of Malagori area of Khyber Agency to surrender their heavy arms within four days. Lt. Col Muhammad Rahim has given four days ultimatum to elders to hand over weapons to the security forces and has also asked tribal elders to register their small arms by May 30 in order to ensure security in the area. Political Moharrar, his Guard Shot Dead in Kurram
Kurram Agency: Unidentified armed men shot dead a political moharrar and his security guard in Lower Kurram Agency. The administration said armed men opened fire on Moharrar Sarfaraz Hussain and his guard in Wali Cheena Dangdang area, leaving them dead. The banned Lashkar-i-Jhangvi militant organization accepted responsibility for the incident. A Historic Decision about FATA is expected in the Next National Assembly Session
FATA Parliamentarian, Shah Ji Gul Afridi, said that FATA would be amalgamated with rest of Pakistan once the said reforms got recognition from the National Assembly. He said that three good-news would be announced to the people of FATA which were: extension of courts in FATA; representation of FATA in the Provincial Assembly; and allocation of 3% in NFC Award. New Policy will Apply both to Afghanistan and Pakistan: McMaster
Washington: The US National Security Adviser Gen H.R. McMaster has said that the Trump administration is working on a policy which would apply to both Pakistan and Afghanistan, and would be announced soon. This marks the first time a senior US official has said that the new policy would also cover Pakistan as previous statements defined it only as the Afghan policy. ‘And so what we’ll have at the end of the next few weeks here is an opportunity for a much more effective strategy for the problem set in Afghanistan, Pakistan, and the region broadly,’ Gen McMaster told a White House news briefing. Pak-Iran Officials Agree to Boost Security at Border
Chaghai: Pakistani and Iranian senior border officials have agreed to boost security arrangements at their border in order to block the entry of terrorist elements and smugglers from one side to the other side.
