Khyber Agency: Khasadar shot dead in Jamrud
An exchange of fire took place between drug smugglers and Khasadars on November 22, 2016 near the Lala Kandaw check post, killing a Khasadar official and wounding another. One of the smugglers was injured and one was arrested while a large quantity of narcotics was also recovered.[1]

Peshawar: Jamaat-ul-Ahrar attacks security personnel in Peshawar
An FC vehicle hit a roadside bomb in Bashirabad area of the city on 22 November 2016, and caused deaths of three FC personnel; seven other people including a policeman and a passerby were wounded. Jamaat-ul-Ahrar spokesperson, Ihsanullah Ihsan claimed responsibility for the incident.[2]

Bahawalpur: LeJ terrorist held with explosives
The CTD raided a house in Karachi Mor area and arrested a suspected militant, supposedly affiliated with Lashkar-e-Jhangvi, the notorious religious extremist group. It has been claimed that the arrested suspect was planning to stage a terrorist activity in some Imambargah of the city.[3]

Committee formed to revisit India policy
Senior officers from the ministries of defence, information and interior and officers from Military Operations Directorate, Inter-Services Intelligence, and Intelligence Bureau have been chosen for the formation of a new committee which will formulate the country’s foreign policy on India. The committee is headed by Foreign Secretary Aizaz Chaudhary.[4]

Bajaur Agency: B. Com classes commenced in Government College of Management Sciences
A ceremony was held on the premises of Government College of Management Sciences on occasion of the commencement of Bachelor of Commerce (B. Com) classes in the institution located in Khar. The tribal elders and political activists of the region welcomed this initiative and appreciated the government’s efforts for promotion of technical education in FATA.[5]
