MARDAN: Twenty-eight people, including a newly-elected member of the provincial assembly Imran Mohmand, were killed and over 57 others injured when a suicide bomber blew himself up at a funeral prayer in Shah Zaman Qala village of Shergarh town in Mardan district on Tuesday. SADDA: The return of the internally displaced persons to their respective villages in central Kurram Agency would begin on June 20 after the area was purged of militants in the wake of successful military operation, an official said on Tuesday. PESHAWAR: Two personnel of Khasadar force were shot dead early in the morning on Tuesday on Bannu Mirali Road in North Waziristan Agency (NWA) by unidentified armed men, said a local official at Mirali. “The incident took place at Takka Picket on the border of FR Bannu and NWA when armed men targeted two of the local Khasadar force personnel hailing from the nearby village of Haider Khel” the official confirmed adding that the area was cordoned off after the incident but no arrest was reported till filing this report.
