Tuesday, 19th January, 2016: Ten people were killed while twenty others were critically wounded in a bomb blast detonated near a check-post in Karkhano Market, here on Tuesday, FRC learnt.
The target of the attack was the vehicle of the Khasadar force.
According to local officials, ten people mostly personnel from the Khyber Khasadar Force were killed in the sad incident.
It is not known that weather this was a suicide attack or a remote controlled bomb blast.
“Although it exact nature of the blast is not known, it appears to be a suicide attack” said a local official.
President of tribal union of journalist, Mahmood Shah was also among those who were killed in the bomb blast.
Right after the sad incident, TTP senior commander, Maqbool Daur has claimed responsibility for the attacks in which ten people are said to have been killed and several other were injured.
According to Maqbool Daur the target of the blast was security forces and not Journalists.
Since the sad incidents of APS in late 2014, security forces have tighten the noose around militants in the tribal areas of Pakistan, where intensive military operations “Zarb-e-Azb and Khyber 1&2” are going on.
