Ghazni: The Afghan and coalition forces conducted separate operations in Ghazni and central Logar provinces killing or wounding at least 19 Taliban militants. Baghlan: The Afghan Special Forces freed two oil tankers who were abducted by Taliban militants in northern Faryab province. The statement further added that the Special Forces killed 5 Taliban militants and freed 2 oil tankers drivers during the raid. Khaama
Helmand: The security forces conducted a series of airstrikes in Helmand and Badghis provinces killing more than 20 Taliban militants. The military officials said that airstrikes killed 20 Taliban militants in Kajaki district of Helmand province. Kandahar: The Afghan security forces put an end to a coordinated Taliban attack in the provincial capital of Kandahar province. Nasrat Rahimi, a spokesman for the Ministry of Interior confirmed in a Twitter post that the security forces have put an end to the attack. Kandahar city: A coordinated attack by Taliban militants claimed the lives of at least 10 people in Kandahar city. Furthermore, the interior ministry said the attack claimed the lives of 7 and 3 policemen. The interior ministry also added that the attack wounded 59 civilians and 27 policemen.
