NANGARHAR, 13 May 2016: Four militants were killed while Gilaman Mehsud aka Qari Saifullah, a senior commander of Hakeemullah group of Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) was critically injured in a US Drone strike in Nangarhar Province of Afghanistan, here on Friday, FRC learnt.
The drone strike took place in Dala area in Nangarhar Province, near the border of Kurram Agency of the Federally Administered Tribal Areas of Pakistan.
According to FRC sources, four militants of Hakeemullah Group of TTP were killed and Gilaman Mehsud aka Qari Saifullah, the current head of Tehreek Taliban Pakistan for Kurram Agency was critically injured in the drone strike. Qari Saifullah was shifted to unknown location for medical treatment.
Gilaman Mehsud aka Qari Saifullah is a senior commander of Hakeemullah group and during the first week of April 2016, he was appointed as the head TTP Kurram Chapter. While stationed in Nangarhar province of Afghanistan, his group had been involved in cross border attacks and kidnapping of local elders particularly in the bordering areas of Kurram Agency.
