ISLAMABAD, Aug 29: FRC welcomed seven internees selected from FATA for two months with an aim to train them in social research on FATA related issues here on Wednesday at FRC office Islamabad.
Students namely Fazlullah Mohmand, Alam Khan Aurakzai, Sirajuddin from Bajaur Agency, Asif Mehsud, Noor Hamid Mehsud from Waziristan Agency and Nawaf and Fatima from FR regions have given two-months internship in the Annual Internship Program of FRC 2012.
Internees belonging to FATA will get full support from the organization for two-months for boarding and lodging along with a reasonable stipend.
The function organized for these internee-students and out-going employees of the organization held at FRC office.
Program Manager Muhammad Zaheer Khan welcomed FATA’s students in his starting speech. In his speech Mr. Zaheer introduced the staff members with new members of the organization. He also informed about the background and role of FRC for the batter future of FATA. Program Manager informed the students about the purpose, objectives and pattern of Internship program.
Dr. Ashraf Ali President of FRC in his speech also welcomed the newcomers and assured full support to them from organization side while spurring them to take part in different research activities being carried out at FRC. “It is experience, practical exposure to research work that matters which FRC will provide you people during your stay here at this research organization”, he encouraged internees.
While talking to new internees he said the main research focus of the FRC was on FATA related issue and internees were belonging to tribal so they should take lead in giving their input while bringing ground realities on record.
Internees being guests at FRC were treated with traditional tribal hospitality (Pashtoowali) while having an opportunity for exchange of views with FRC regular employees during lunch, at the end of the session.
